Quick Snacks

I am always looking for easy and healthy quick snacks and sense I travel so much it is always hard. I have learned that knowing brand names of things that are GF is the best. Most Utz Chips tell you right on the back of the bag if they are gluten free or not and most of them are. Also SOcripsY soy chips from Whole Earth Foods are another new discovery that are naturally gluten free as well. Learn the companys that make you happy!

Natural Candy Store with the most GF candy I've ever seen

This is the best website I have ever found with the most GF candy I have ever seen.  I have a few blogs that I follow on a regular basis and one is Gorgeously Green. If you are a tree hugger hippie or aspire to be so, check this website out. She is amazing and always has so many new products, projects and ideas to help you be as green as possible.

If you stick to your GF diet you know that candy can be hard. I suffered through last christmas not eating one candy cane because I couldn't find gluten free ones anywhere. For the same price as in Stop and Shop I can buy them from this website.

I also found another product that made my heart skip a beat. Suncups! It is made out of sunflower butter instead of peanut butter. I am not allergic to peanut butter but know so many that are.

Discover New Grains- Quinoa

Such a cool grain, Quinoa is grain with a fabulous taste and amazing nutrional value. The protein is around 15% and a balanaced amount of amino acids. Its really easy to cook and fast. 1 cup of Quinoa to 2 1/2 cups of water or broth. After boil reduce to a simmer for 20 mins and tada. Its really great to use in place of rice while stuffing peppers or just in place or rice or pasta. I love to add it to salads as well. It is cheap, easy and so good for you! Give it a shot!
